Dwight D. Dozier is currently the assistant vice president for advancement services at the University of Louisville, where he has been since 1989. Previously, he served as the assistant executive director of alumni services at the Pennsylvania State University and as manager of biographical records and systems analyst at Washington State University. Dozier has served as a presenting faculty member for CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) for numerous conferences, having served as chair of both the 2007 and 2008 national CASE senior advancement services conferences. He currently serves as a commissioner of the CASE Commission on Philanthropy in Washington D.C.
Dozier is very active in the Louisville area, serving as an academic mentor for the university's College of Business and Public Administration, a past board member of UofL's Commission on the Status of Women, a current board member of the UofL University Club, a volunteer and mentor for Jefferson County Public Schools and is on the board of the Community Health Charities organization. He also served as immediate past president of the Board of Louisville's nationally recognized Public Radio Partnership. He has a bachelor's degree from Washington State University. A very active jazz drummer, his group has toured Italy, Switzerland and Barbados, has performed with several noted jazz artists, and has released two CDs.
