Campus Construction

THIS IS BRAD KNOOP FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE. STAY TUNED FOR U OF L NOW.

BULLDOZERS ARE EVERYWHERE ON THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE BELKNAP CAMPUS. THE BELKNAP RESEARCH BUILDING IS TAKING SHAPE. THE EKSTROM LIBRARY IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A 14 MILLION DOLLAR MAKEOVER. JIM PATTERSON STADIUM WILL BE READY FOR IT'S FIRST BASEBALL GAME IN FEBRUARY. THE FLOYD STREET FACELIFT CONTINUES WITH PAINT JOBS AND BANNERS. A FORMER PET FOOD PLANT IS CLEARED AWAY FOR MORE CAMPUS FRIENDLY LANDSCAPING.

HERE'S U OF L PRESIDENT DOCTOR JIM RAMSEY.

"We're excited about the algood property. We're taking an abandoned factory and turning it into a beautiful green space. The old parkway field has great history and we're turning it into an intramural site… The natatorium will be a great asset… We have projects and renovations going on at University Hospital, the Brown Cancer Center. We're starting development on the Shelby Campus. It's a busy time for the university."

FROM ATHLETICS TO MEDICINE; FROM RESEARCH TO READING, THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE GUIDED BY THE MISSION TO IMPROVE CAMPUS LIFE, AND KEEP U OF L COMPETING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.

Dr. Ramsey:

"We're going into the Big East. It's important athletically. It's important academically. We have to have the best facilities for our young people and that's in sports, classrooms, computer facilities."

THIS IS U OF L NOW. AND I'M BRAD KNOOP FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE. DARE TO BE GREAT.
