U of L Now: What's happening at the University of Louisville

Dr. James Ramsey, U of L President

"Hi, I'm Doctor James Ramsey, President of the University of Louisville. We have many things to be excited about at U of L these days. Exploring new territory in athletics is one of those parts.

You're watching the football Cardinals play their first season as a member of the Big East Conference. And it marks the return of our athletic teams to WHAS-11.

We're also excited about the future of the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. We are closing in on comprehensive cancer center status from the National Cancer Institute which will allow us to keep the great researchers we already have and attract more of the best.

We continue to build partnerships in our community by being a good neighbor in South Louisville and by investing in small businesses to spur economic development.

New facilities continue to rise on our Belknap and Health Sciences campuses. We are committed to giving our faculty, staff, and students the best places to work and play.

Throughout the season we will highlight our topnotch researchers and faculty, brilliant discoveries, and thrilling accomplishments in this segment. We call it 'U of L Now' because we see great things happening at U of L now and it's the perfect time to be a part of what we're accomplishing. We're delighted you will join us. Thank you and Go Cards!"
