Nursing food drive benefits Presbyterian Community Center
March 11th, 2009
University of Louisville School of Nursing students delivered non-perishable food and other dry goods to the Presbyterian Community Center (PCC) March 11. The items will be placed in the center’s food pantry and given to people in need. The Community Health Nursing class organized the school-wide food drive.
“The students wanted a way to extend their arm to folks in the community in these difficult economic times,” said faculty member Vicki Ellison Burns.
PCC is one of many sites to which the Community Health Nursing class provides health education and screenings.
