Libraries to unveil 2 millionth volume

University Libraries will celebrate the addition of its 2 millionth volume with a special public ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 3:30 p.m. on the third floor of Ekstrom Library.

The book, “GOAT: Greatest of All Time: A Tribute to Muhammad Ali,” a 75-pound, 20-inch square volume, will be unveiled at the event. Each library in the University Libraries system also obtained celebration volumes:

The 2 millionth volume celebration is one of several events to highlight the University Libraries’ current growth. The event series will be capped off by the opening of an addition to Ekstrom Library, the system’s anchor library, in early 2006.
