June 1st, 2007
The University of Louisville College of Education and Human Development took a 32-point jump in the latest round of U.S. News & World Report rankings for graduate education programs.
The college’s graduate education program is in the top 25 percent of ranked graduate education programs in the nation, moving up from a ranking of 98 last year to 66 this year out of 277 ranked programs.
The U.S. News rankings are part of the magazine’s 2008 “America’s Best Graduate Schools” list.
“This fully establishes UofL among the top tier of all education programs in the nation,” said education Dean Robert Felner. “The faculty and staff work hard to provide quality education and support for our students and the community, and it’s rewarding to see that work recognized.”
The rankings are based on expert opinion and statistical indicators measuring the quality of faculty, research and students. These included the number of research faculty, peer reputation and student entrance exam scores.
