U of L Alumni Association - Speed School Alumni Council
Dear Students, Faculty and Alumni,
I am looking forward to an exciting year as president of the Speed School Alumni Council. The council has met twice now in 2004 and is geared up to support Dean Wilhelm, the faculty and the students with their many initiatives. We've outlined our focus areas below:
- Make 2005 Engineer's Day the best ever by increasing corporate participation and promotional activities.
- Select 10 to 15 incoming freshman scholarship recipients.
- Achieve 100 percent financial donation.
- Develop ways to increase alumni participation in Speed School activities.
- Be constant advocates for Speed School.
Engineer's Day will be our biggest focus. I would like to challenge every one of you to show your support to the school by participating in this event in one form or another. Be an exhibitor (either corporate or student), be a judge, be a sponsor or just be present to see the exhibits. 2005 Engineer's Day will be Feb. 20-21 so mark your calendars. You are sure to learn something.
The Alumni Council consists of 15 Speed School alumni who volunteer their time to work on initiatives for the school. Our board meetings for 2005 are Jan. 11, March 22 and June 14 in the Rodney Williams Jr. boardroom, located on the second floor of the Malcom B. Chancey Jr. University Club and Alumni Center. These meetings are open to fellow alumni and we welcome any feedback/ideas you may have for the board.
Sincerely,
Stacey Guilford '94SPresident, Speed School Alumni Council
